If you like good comfort food then this is your place. Meat and 3 for under 10 bucks. It's already cooked so they put it on a plate and bring it to you. Country fried steak, mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and white beans is my favorite but I've never had anything bad from here. Love this place! Great for the whole family and for out of town folks!

Garden Gate just makes me happy. It’s good, southern comfort food. You simply can’t beat it.

One of the meat and 3 veggies in town at very reasonable prices. Some menu items change every day. Deserts are awesome too.

Diner style plate lunches with huge portions. Main course menu varies daily. Chicken & Dressing is served on Thursdays. Rich deserts, again with huge portions. Carry out available. Huge dinning area. Great staff with a sweet southern hospitality. My family loves this place. They can cater a huge group. They have catered a local manufacturing plant with 1200 employees and with 3 shifts and do a great job. And I heard nothing but praise.

My husband and I, two seniors. Just had a surprisingly good meal at the Garden Gate. I ordered the catfish, the Friday special; my husband ordered the roast pork. We ordered the cucumber salad which was unusual but very, very good. The mustard greens, hush puppies, fried okra, creamed (mashed, to us) potatoes, and green beans were all good. The service was prompt and friendly, the portions were just right to generous -- we couldn't finish all of our food. The restaurant is locally authentic and we recommend it to everyone who finds themselves hungry inTuscumbia, Alabama.

Love Love garden gate! Thursday chicken and dressing! Extra gravy and cranberry. Smallish parking lot. No truck or trailer parking, but there is a large parking lot across the street.

Country fried steak. Mac and cheese. Cornbread and greens. It was good in a pinch and the employees were sweet as can be.

Friendly staff and great food. I came here while traveling, and it felt like I'd been coming here for years. They put the home in home cookin'.

I'm from the area but live on the Gulf Coast. Other than BBQ, I can't think of anywhere that represents what I think of when I think of NW AL better than this place. Great old school meat and vegetables. They even had Chicken Stew on the day I went! Savannah was also great as our server.

This was so special and good yes I would tell people to go try them out.
